Metropolitan Racquet Club is the largest clay court tennis club is the city of Detroit.
We have 6 outdoor clay tennis courts which are typically open from early
May through late October. Clay tennis courts are a rarity that most people
do not get to experience, especially inside the City of Detroit.
Clay courts are better for a players knees, back, and
lower extremities than hard courts.
In addition, we have 2 North American sized squash courts, free weights for strength training and a separate cardio room.
Directions
We are located 3 block east of Schaefer and one block south of McNichols.

Using the Lodge Expressway (US-10, coming from south of McNichols,
take the Meyers/McNichols exit and turn left at McNichols.
- Using the Lodge Expressway (US-10), coming from north of McNichols, use the 7 Mile exit and use the service drive to get to McNichols. Then turn right on McNichols
